Unspoken: Objects of Communication in the Victorian Age
April 3 – May 25, 2019

Spring exhibit that explores the unspoken communication of the Victorian Era when social interactions were limited by strict behavioral guidelines.
We explore the use of flowers to communicate affection, joy or displeasure; discover the subtle art of flirting through strategic use and placement of fans, gloves, and handkerchiefs. Sure to be a great conversation starter!
Available during regular tour times: Wednesday – Saturday, noon – 3 p.m. Admission charged.

This is a juried show with a mix of artisans and antiques offerings.

*Driving directions: Alternate directions since part of Mill Street is closed:  Travel west on East Market, turn left onto Summit Street; that will bring you right to the entrance of the Quaker complex lot.  If you are traveling East: turn onto High Street, left onto Mill Street, and enter into the lot just past S. Broadway (which is one way going north).


Mother’s Day Breakfast Tea: Teacups & Tiaras
