Who are Friends of Hower House?

The organization was established in 1974 to preserve the house and its furnishings and to provide a glimpse into 19th century life.

Why would you join the Friends of Hower House?

  2. To help preserve a window into Akron’s past.
  3. To participate in the activities and events of Hower House.
  4. To support the staff, promotion and operation of the House.

How do I become a Victorian of Hower House.

Who are the victorians of Hower House.

The volunteer group was established in 1979.
“The Victorians, as a volunteer support group of the Friends of Hower House, shall assist in the preservation of Hower House, its contents and grounds, and shall help to provide educational awareness of its historical significance.”

Why become a Victorian of Hower House?

A minimal portion ($10) of your Victorians’ membership dues goes to support the Friends of Hower House.
