Enchanted Threads: Hower Laces & Embroideries (Summer Exhibit)

Various forms of needle arts were elevated to an art form during the Victorian era and promoted as a socially and morally acceptable pastime for women, for both the working and the wealthy class. Exquisite selections from the Hower House Collection will be on display for the summer, along with related programs throughout the exhibit

Available during  regular tour times (Wednesday – Saturday, noon until 3:00 pm) and special events during those dates.

Land of Oz Tea & Program          (2:00-4:00pm)

Join us for a fun and historical program about the adventures of L. Frank Baum, creator of The Wizard of Oz! Enjoy wonderful tea, sweets, and savories, a walk-through tour of Hower House Museum and shopping in the incredible Cellar Door Store.

Limited seating and Prepaid Reservations: $32 adults; $22 children ages 8-12.

Hower House History 101: Behind the Scenes (Life of Blanche Bruot Hower)

History is fun and essential! We share some ‘inside’ information on the Hower family and their collections. So if you’re interested in learning in a fun and interactive way, plan to attend.

FREE and Open to the Public; advanced reservations are recommended as seating is limited. Call the office by November 1 to confirm your spot!

Hower House Holiday Season: Victorian Elegance

Self-Guided Tour Times: Wednesday-Saturday, Noon-3:00pm. Holiday Sundays, 1:00-3:30pm

Live musical entertainment on selected days. Admission charged.

Children 12 and under free with adult admission; children must be accompanied by an adult.

**Scheduled Holiday Season Closings: 11/23 (Thanksgiving); 12/24, 12/25, 12/26; 12/30**
